 Mafia Wars.
Ok, now that we have covered not pissing off all of Facebook, lets get into the game.
When you first start out you have a choice of what character type you want to be. There is 3, here are the benefits and downfalls of each.
1) Mogul - Earns money faster from your properties.
The Mogul character type is the one I chose at the begining as the thought of getting $$ faster seemed like a good idea.
And it was, for the first little while. After a while I got so many properties and income, that getting a payment a couple minutes sooner would not make a lot of difference. But as I try to climb up the levels, having my energy refill faster (Maniac) , or having my health and stamina refill faster (Fearless) would be quite helpfull.
So I have changed my strategy to take into account that I can not climb the levels as fast as the Maniac, and Fearless character types. I don't concentrate on gaining levels, so instead of improving my energy level, I am putting all of my skill upgrade points into defence, and health (and every once in a while an attack point). What this does is make it so that I am really hard to attack. Most people that attack me that are close to my level loose, and I get quite a few experience points each time. Also when I get hitlisted I gain a lot more than I loose. This seems to work quite well.
The Mogul character type will definately help with some of the acheivments however. There are a couple of acheivments that seem pretty far out of reach. Such as the Nest egg acheivment - depositing $10,000,000,000,000 at once (after fees). Hopefully getting your payments 6 minutes early will help with this one, because there is also the "Whats after a trillion" acheivment. ( Earned by depositing 999 Trillion Dollars ) - Good Luck
